“Removal of intraocular foreign bodies can always be challenging for the retinal specialist.  This Packo Pars Plana Snare Prototype was an instrument to help with this. With a slide retractor, a prolene snare would open at the tip to help ‘trap’ irregular large shaped intraocular foreign bodies. IOFB removal requires specific instrumentation in order to avoid IOFB slippage and inadvertent retinal trauma."
